As I promised

Some of what was put in the shop today!
A little flat bottom mini. These little hoots sit so perfectly cute on almost any flat surface:)

ORANGE SHERBERT the OWL

All made with Amy Butler fabric!!!
I am off to cut out another hundred little eyes for a few owl banners I am making for a local store here!!! I like doing this sort of thing on Tuesdays. This always me and Matt's movie night. It is an easy task to do while spending time with the Mr:)

I need more hours in the day.

I LOVE what I do, my only problem is I need more hours in the day. I have been very fortunate to have people ask me to do custom orders. I have been working on them like crazy!!! Of course when I am tracing out patterns for these orders, I have to make some for the shop too.

What I should have done is take a picture of my studio! What a mess!!!

These are a custom order that I had made a couple of weeks ago. A lady wanted 3 of the same owl for her and her sisters with their mothers name embroidered on the heart. So sweet and scary that I was going to make it how she wanted them. I have one more custom order to finish and a few owl banners that are in the works!!

I thought I would share some pics that I have taken lately that are my favorites of the kids:)

LOVE this of Ava! After a long day of 1st grade!
Preston was sleeping over at Grandma's house so Jonathan and Daddy got to have special time:)

Jonathan's favorite book, a gift from Auntie Stacy:)
LOVE these special moments........................Matt hates when I have to take a picture of it:/
OK, well that was a long blog for all of you. I will be back later to share what is going in the shop!

I love this!

I LOVE when Matthew is doing manly things. This is one of my favorites.
He usually fits it in while I am doing the dishes. I just stare at him out the kitchen window. I am not sure what it is, I know part of it is that he is taking care of us by cutting this wood and getting it ready for the winter. Another really cute thing is how Preston will get out his play chain saw and pretend he is helping. On this day though he was too busy playing with the other kids. Jonathan was out there to help though!
He would wait patiently (far away) while Matt would chop the wood so he could get a little piece and put it in his little pile. I have to say Matt was very patient after every log he chopped while Jonathan found the perfect piece to carry. It was sooo cute to watch them. Matt is such a good daddy:)

Placed his log where he wanted it now walking away to the safe zone:)

Carmen helped me stuff some owls last night and these are a couple that I put in the shop today.

Oscar the Owl
I had to make a mini to match:)

I am off the make some Chocolate chip cookies for the fam:)

BOYS

Now that all the girls are in school, it is just me and the boys.

Girls are soooo different then boys. They are happy with coloring or reading a book. Not Preston for sure.

This is him lately, he thinks he some super hero or something. Always running from one place to the next. By 2 in the afternoon I am so wanting a nap. (good luck with that)

Jonathan on the other hand is a little more mellow, thank God:)

He does follow Preston around a lot and mimics him sometimes, but he is quiet and calm. The other day I went and bought Lego's hoping this would keep them busy for awhile while I work. Ok, I think that worked for 1 day. Maybe a few more days then that. Ava is the one that really likes them. She will build something then go hide it in her room. Silly girl.

I was busy making these little owls last night. The 2 bigger ones are book ends:) They are filled with beans:)

I really love the color on these:) I have them in the shop if you want to see more pictures!

Have a great weekend!!!

PINK

I want to share some more of the owls that are in the shop and will be in the shop:)

One of my new patterns.
SORBET the OWL
She has a flat bottom, so she stands completely on her own:)
Here are a few minis. These are filled with beans. I really like how they feel a little bit heavier and they stand unsupported.

I can't help it, I just really like pink:)

Exciting things happening!

A new Halloween Owl for the shop!
HALLOWEEN the OWL
Isn't he cute? He is a new pattern:) I made a couple new patterns last night . Here is a mini with a 1" wide bottom so it can stand.

I have a lot of inventory to get busy on!!! I will be selling my items in a local quilt shop!!! I am very excited and hoping I can have enough done soon. I have a few custom orders to fill also:) Busy, Busy....................and I LOVE it. Now it is time to take the boys out to play:)

Have a great Thursday!!

The last dollie

I put the last little doll in the shop this morning!!!NOEL

A few more owls were also added.

These are just 3 out of the 7. Another busy day ahead!!! I have 6 custom Owls to get busy on. Matthew is home today so hopefully I will get some more done then usual. We had a another accident with a window this morning:/ Jonathan ran and pushed his hands through his bedroom window, thank God the shade is down. Matt was very mad and I am now permanently scared of windows. Hopefully that will be enough window breaking for the next 25 years:(

I wish everyone a happy day!!

Her Gaurdian Angel (not for the squeamish)

Last night was an eventful night around here. I was on the computer updating my shop and Corrina was in the shower while Carmen was downstairs lurking, trying to scare Corrina. (this is a common occurrence ) Carmen comes running up the stairs and slams the basement door and Corrina, afraid that she was not going to get in (after all the basement is where the boogieman lives) bangs on the window of the door. I hear glass break and screams. I run over there to find Carmen jumping around with fright and Corrina soaking wet from just taking a shower and broken glass everywhere. My immediate reaction is to yell!!! I did:/ When I looked at Corrina I saw blood on her hand, it was a little dark so all I saw was blood. She was scared and in her frightened voice she said, " help me mom". I pulled her through the broken glass that was all over the floor and look at at her hand. I have never seen anything like it. There was a 3" gash that was all the way down to her bone, it was gaping. I saw it for a half a second, covered it up and screamed at the top of my lungs for Matt. It was one of the moments that I will never forget. I was so scared and Corrina layed her head on my chest and said with tears in her voice, "am going to be ok?". I said yes, but I thought for sure she would loose some use of her hand. She was crying, I was crying, oh it was an awful feeling. Ava ran up and got Matt. I kept telling him to look at her hand, I always freak out when the kids are bleeding. I knew that he was scared to look. Matt is so much more calmer then me, so when he looked and said "oh my God, we gotta go now.", it was bad. He never acts like that. She had blood everywhere, cuts on her feet, hands, her forehead, arms, really I didn't know what to do. She was naked so she needed clothes on. Matt dressed her and carried her out to the truck. She was white as a ghost when they left here. At that point I started crying and Preston with his funny little self said, " mom, why are you doing that with your face? Stop doing that.". Carmen was really scared she asked if Corrina is going to die. All I knew is I had to be with Corrina, so I called Grandma Sherry and they came right away. When I got to the ER, I went right in to see her, she was calm. They were getting ready to stitch er up. I had a little look at the wound and it was worse then the glance I got earlier. Corrina was very brave and I am so proud of her for such a scary thing. The doctor said she was very lucky, she missed her tendons my 1/8 of an inch. She received 8 stitches on the inside and 11 on the outside. When we got out of the ER I was surprised to see my mom, Brett and Brenna there. They wanted to make sure Corrina was ok. Thank God she was. We went home where she was the talk of the night. In the middle of the night she came into our room and slept on the chair next to our bed. I asked her why she didn't want to get in her own bed and she said, "I want to sleep here, this is really comfortable". Sometimes it is more comfortable to be in the presence of your parents. I am so thankful that she is ok and that nothing more serious happened. If you are a little squeamish turn your head.

Poor Corrina:(

OK, on a happier note.....her is a new dollie:)

Oh Happy Day!!!!

Finally, all the girls are in school! With it raining yesterday, it was a long day. Now all I have home is the 2 boys. That is more then enough. Although I won't have Preston saying to Ava every half hour, "Ava, I'm gonna steal your stuff". I am hoping that this year with Ava being in school all day it will make her grow out of her whining stage. I have had it with that.
Us girls were the only ones up this morning, so that was nice. Corrina and Carmen straightened their hair. Corrina helped Carmen (love seeing that). I wish Carmen wouldn't straighten her hair though, she has really cute curly hair and it just is curly by the end of the day anyways. It is hard to remember they have to learn these things on their own:/ I got a few pictures taken. To me the first day of school pictures are always a little homely. They have puffy eyes and no one wants to smile at this hour. But, I got one little funny one out of the bunch.

Ava looks the most unpleased, but she was the most excited. Awww, first grade:) Although, she is nervous for lunch. All will be well!

I added a new dollie to the shop this morning:) She is one of my favorites!

Holly Berry

I made 4 Christmas dolls. I really like the Christmas ones, maybe it is because I love Christmas so much:)

Lot's of mini owls to do today and 3 custom Owls to finish up! Have a great Thursday!!
