I am Thankful for these special people:)

And for everyone being flu free for 24 hours and counting! I am so happy that the flu did not ruin our Thanksgiving. Wednesday I had 2 sick boys, so we were wondering who would be next...............no one yet:)Here are some high-lights of our thankful day!
A little nut cracking:)
2 pail but HEALTHY boys!
This little boy is getting ready for his nap so us big kids can play a HECTIC game of Pictionary.
Preston did so good at guessing what the pictures were and drawing them. He had a little help.
They almost won!! I know, a lot of pictures of Preston, but he looked so dang cute in his outfit I took the most pictures of him I realized.
Little Jonny-be-good, woke up from his nap in time to watch dad build a fire (his favorite....Jonathans too:)) Also it is one of my favorite times of the day for a few minutes of quiet at least.....................................................
MOVIE AND POPCORN TIME!!!!! Believe me, they do NOT sit through the entire movie:/
Time to eat!!!! We had a ridiculous amount of food!
We were going to have some of the family come over, but with the flu bug in our house we decided best not to infect anyone else. We will be eating turkey for days!!!

When I was loading up the pictures I realized that I did not take a picture of all the kids together:/ Holidays are a lot of work around here!! Maybe Christmas:)

I have added some new Christmas ornaments to the shop!!!!

These are 3 out of the 6 new ones. I also added these little minis:)
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

My Christmas Elves

Ok, maybe they are not all helping, but they all like to try:)

I had to get out the big table so they all could help. As you can see some chose other places to sit. (don't mind the walls, it used to be my daughters bedroom) Matthew was hunting and I have soooo much stuff to work on, I thought I would include them in the fun.

Carmen filling the mini's with beans:) Corrina stuffing the mini's for a custom banner.

Here are some that got done that are now in the shop!

Sugar the Owl
Sweet Sugar the mini owl
Aren't they cute?:)

See something different?

I have been meaning to do this for awhile now. I should really be sewing, but the computer has a way of sucking me in.

I have been soooo busy (NOT COMPLAINING) with all the owl ornaments. Tonight I have 21 to make. We will see how that goes. First I have to make a smaller one of these. I have made 3 different sizes of this cute one. I am planning on putting the last one in the shop. 2 of them are custom orders and already have homes:)
Ava woke up in the middle of the night with the stomach flu. So now it is only a waiting game to see who catches the bug next. YUCK! I hope we are all done by Thanksgiving:/
Have a great Wednesday night!

Thank you

I really am so excited and am in disbelief of how this year has gone for my Etsy shop. All I can say is "THANK YOU!!!!". I have hit 400 sales!!!! My goal for the year was to get to 100. I wonder what the rest of the year will hold for my little Etsy shop. I know one thing, these little owl ornaments are doing really well. Meet

Mr. and Mrs. Owl

They are a little different from Mr. and Mrs. Hoot. They are just adorable:)

Today is laundry day:/ YUCK!!! It is never ending around here. Good thing I have some helpers in the folding department. Have a great Sunday!

Mr. and Mrs. Hoot

I had to make these and get them in the shop before the mini owl making begins! Actually first I have to finish my wholesale order. LOTS of ornaments. As I was making the ornaments I had this idea and they turned out sooo cute.
Mrs. Hoot is my favorite. I might have to make some more of these in different fabrics.
On another note..........................Preston had his first practice for Hockey and these are the pictures of the long sweaty meltdown.
It started out fine until he started itching and scratching and soon realized that he had to put LOTS of gear on.

It all was worth it in the end, he had sooo much fun and did really well.

Movie night tonight, can't wait! Have a great night!

A nap

Yesterday I said that I wish I could have been in my studio all day. Well, by the time Matt got home from hunting, I was not having a good day. The kids were just into everything and Jonathan broke glass that got all over the basement and the kitties were walking through it. A stressful day to say the least. When he got home I said I needed a break. I went upstairs thinking how great it was going to be to create. Wrong, I laid in bed thinking, I will just lay here for a few minutes and get my thoughts together. I slept for like 3 hours!!! I woke up and felt sooo much better. I don't remember the last time I took a nap. Boy did it feel good!!! Matt took the kids grocery shopping and then to the park, so it was very quiet.

I worked on until 2:00 in the morning on a few things. Here are some of the cute little owls.
VANILLA the OWL

This Amy Butler fabric with the lime dots are now discontinued and I have been hoarding mine:)

Some little mini owls.

I made 6 different ones:) Here is one of the 3 owl ornaments I made.

Tonight I am hoping to get done some of my wholesale order done. Preston has his first hockey practice tonight. I am so excited for him. Although tonight I will not be watching him. It can be a little stressful with the hole family there. Maybe next week:)

Today I wish I had all day

Today is one of those days that I wish I could just shut myself in my studio and create! Matt is hunting and he has been working late every night this week and really this mom just needs some time with no kids for awhile. He is supposed to be back by noon, we will see:/

Last night I did get quite a few things done though. Here are a couple.
SPENCER the OWL

Usually I do not make them this big, because they take so much stuffing. But some people really like the fact they are like a pillow.

I have been making ornaments like crazy and this new Amy Butler fabric is really popular so I decided to make a bigger owl with it. I really love the brown fabric:)

RED the OWL
Have a great weekend!

Movie night!

Tonight is movie night for Matt and I!! Can't wait, but I will be working the entire time. I have 35 mini owls to make that need eyes sewn on. YIKES!!! She needs them by Friday, so it will be a very late night! Good thing I had these little cute ornaments made for the shop already!
I have a few more for the shop, but really I should be sewing:) Have a great Tuesday!!!!

Christmas ornaments!

My thoughts are with my sister Stacy tonight:) I hope that she isn't too stressed about her new place. What a big icky job moving is.

I have been working on Christmas ornaments the last few days. I saw the sun for like 10 mins today and took a few pictures. I added these 3 to my shop today.
Made with the new Amy Butler fabric.
LOVE this fabric. Amy Butler's discontinued line.

Super cute Micheal Miller fabric.

Have a great Sunday night.

CANDY!!!!

OH my gosh!!! We have sooo much candy in this house!!! The trick-or-treating was a success!!Corrina was a Soccer Mummy(really she just wanted the black hair...........what a mess that was:/) Carmen was a Cheerless leader. Ava was a princess. Preston was a Transformer. Jonathan was Elmo! Zhaina was a Rainbow:)

The night started with Preston having a meltdown about having his clothes on under the Transformer unitard. I don't blame him.

At least some of them were happy:)
Jonathan is always fine with whatever.
Once again trying to get a picture of all of them looking at the camera, not so easy:/
BRRRR! They did pretty well:) The night ended with lots and lots of candy eating and the 2 playmates having some quiet time.
It was a fun night with family:)
