These 15 dollies are taking longer then I thought. I hoping to get them pretty much finished tonight! Hopefully tomorrow I will have some photos for you. Next on the list is 3 custom owls and a ton of new owls, big and small, for the shop:)

Here is a custom blanket I did for a really great customer.

I should be working on the dolls and not on here:/

New Owl Banner

I made this owl banner a few weeks ago and had not taken pictures of it yet. These owl banners are so hard to take pictures of. I never know where to hang them to get a good picture. This one is a long one so I had an extra hard time. The picture of the banner strung out is not very good, so I will show you the ones that are:)

I put them in the shop today:)

Have a great day!

A Challange

Every weekend I work out of the house for 18 hours:( Right now is ok, because I work with some really great people. 18 hours is a lot of hours taken out of my time for the shop. I started a huge project on Friday. I am working on making 14 dolls. Most of them are a new design. They will have sleeves and a flat bottom. Yesterday I finished 1 of them and put it up in the shop.

Carmen says she really likes the bell sleeves. I think it is quite appropriate for the coming of the new season. I have some holiday dolls in the works. The Christmas ones I think will be my new favorites:)

I am off to spend my last 6 hours of work for the weekend:) Luckily I work with my favorite c0-worker, Amy:) And I don't have to work until midnight:)

Have a great evening!

1 Year today!

One year ago today I opened my Etsy shop! It has gone so much better then I ever imagined! I LOVE what I do and wish that I had more time in the day to do all the things I want. I wonder what the next year will hold for me:) I have some new ideas for the shop that I hope to get to soon. I will also be changing my shop name. That is in the works as well. Another exciting thing is a new blog design that the Designer Girl is doing for me! She is also a digital scrapbook designer and will be using images of my owls for her kits!! How exciting:) Lots of great and wonderful things happening, there are so many awesome people that I have gotten to know since opening my shop!! Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in my work, it truly means a lot!

Here are 2 new owls that will be put in the shop today! They are scraps of Amy Butler fabrics from the custom quilt I made the other day. I pieced them all together and made these cute Owls!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Full of Beans

It has been awhile since I posted. Really busy around here. I finally got my new studio in order. All the kids rooms are done. They adjusted quite well to the new sleeping arrangements. I will have to take some pictures of our new digs. Last night I stayed up late finishing a quilt for an Etsy customer. When I know she received it I will post the pictures.
I made these 2 Owls for another Etsy customer. She wanted them filled with beans so they would be safe for her little ones. They turned out sooo cute. I will have to make more of these for the shop.

She bought 2 minis in the same fabric and wanted these to little cuddly guys. The neat thing is that they stand on their own:)

I am off to make some new items for the shop and I have 2 custom orders to get busy on.

Have a great day!

Some new little mini owls:) These little things are too cute.
I also added a few more of the bigger standing owls to the shop.
Lemon Drop the Owl
My Favorite
Chaz the Owl

Brownie the Owl

I have a few more to add in the next few days.

I have few custom orders to work on. Matt primed Carmen's room this morning and now we are off to buy the paint and have a picnic before Corrina's soccer game. Busy, Busy!

So excited

I was planning on doing a craft show on Saturday, but the weather was less then ideal. A few nights before the show I was making some of the owls that can stand without being propped. I actually made 8 of these owls.
They are all different colors, but I made them in pairs like this. These ones are my daughters favorite ones. This one is in the shop.
I am going to try and put one of these ones up after I get home from work tonight.

What am I excited about?

I am moving my studio to a bigger room in the house and the Carmen will not have to share a room with Ava anymore. The 3 girls all get their own room now:) The 2 bedrooms on the main floor were being used by me. One was my studio and one was my workout room/folding clothes room (what do you think the room was being used for:( ) Matt is on vacation again, so I hope we can get everyone moved to their new rooms:)

Have a great night!

Little changes:)

I think that the mini owls are so cute just the way they are. Once in awhile I will get asked if the owls can stand by themselves. No, they can't, they have to be propped up against something. So, I thought how could I make these mini ones stand up with out a lot more work. So I made a couple little changes and now they stand!

This one of course is a Halloween one:) It is just like the ones on the banner. Wouldn't a few of these be cute displayed through out your house on Halloween? I am going to put them up in the shop today:)

Have a happy Wednesday!

Mushrooms for girls

I have been working on this blanket for a few days. Finally today I finished it and took some pictures before the rain clouds came.

I never know how to take a picture of the entire blanket. It always looks a little goofy. This one turned out pretty good. I debated on using the orange bias tape, but I think it was a good choice. Most of the fabric is Amy Butler. Really, you never can go wrong with her fabric. I added some other little cute fabrics I thought matched perfectly. I loved the mushrooms so much I put some on the back. It turned out cute:)

These little owls have become a hot little seller the last week or so. I have a couple requests that I need to work on.

I try and add a few every day. What a cute idea for a little collectible item for a young child. Each of my kids have started a little one of their own:)

Have a great night everyone!
