Busy, busy, busy!

I have been working on 2 custom orders. I might have to remake one of them though. It turned out really cute, but it wasn't what I had pictured in my head. I took a couple pictures of them, the last one is one that I made to sell in the shop, but.............YIKES, that picture is bad. I will have to take more pics when I have time. I have to do the dreaded grocery shopping today and then I have to head right back there tonight for work. Thank God I only work a couple days a week, it breaks my creative spirit:(

This is Lily the Owl! This is the custom order I might redo. I really love the colors on this though.

This is an Owl for an awesome returning customer! Radar is the name of her dog.

This is Midnight the Owl! I need to take better pictures of him.

The last game!

Carmen had her last basketball game for the season. I don't think you can really call it a game though. The team they played against had 5 people on their team. Carmen is the tallest and has the longest legs out of all her team mates. I really got a kick out of watching her on Saturday. Since she is so tall she holds her hands up over the other teams heads and catches their ball or she just grabs out of their hands. She can dribble really good but making a basket is another story. She really likes it, I guess that is all that matters. I for one am glad that I won't have to leave the house before noon on a Saturday morning:)

That is her jumping up and attempting to get the ball. It looks like the ball between her arms, but that is a painting of a ball on the wall.

A visit with my first love:)

I have been making cards for quite a few years now, but just these last couple of years I started selling them at my mom's store. Since I have been on this big sewing kick I have been slacking on that, so the other day I made a trip to the scrapbook store. I had not been there in months. I used to go about once a week and spend way to much money. I just get this "high" when I walk ino a scrapbook store. I knew it was going to be hard to not put everything I want into my cart. I managed to some what control myself. Really I don't need anything, but it has been awhile since I indulged in my paper addiction. I love everything about it, the smell of the paper, all the colors, all the different patterned papers, the pens, the stamps, ooooh the glitter, the tape, the scissors, the organization, I could go on and on. I REALLY, REALLY love it. And I miss it. I will have to start again on my kids scrapbooks. I am really way behind after opening my Etsy shop. So anyways here are some fun pics to look at.

This is my addiction! Isn't it pretty:)
I usually sit in my craft room and work but today Matt took all the kids out of the house for awile and Jonathan was taking a nap.

A few hours later I was done and I didn't even make that big of mess.
Here is the finished product! I was kind of lazy at it today so they are not as creative as I like them to be. But still pretty :)

A nice surprise!

I woke up this morning to find out I was put in a treasury! I have been in a few and the other day I found out I have been on the front page 3 times:) It is always so nice to know that people actually like my work and I am noticed, now if we could just translate that to some Etsy sales:) Here is Ginger..........

A new hair cut!

Preston has very corse hair. It is curly, but because of the hat wearing for the cold weather he looks silly. And I really like what the shaved head looks like. I started having Matt shave his own head years ago. Even it has a little hair that has grown out I can't stand to look at him. (kidding, kinda:)) So anyways, Preston woke up the next morning after having his head shaved and he said to me, "Mom, don't you LOVE my hair cut!". Why, yes I do my handsome little boy:) I tried to take some pictures..............how do you think that went? Here you go....

Living in a trailer down by the river:)

The title only means something to my mom and sister! They know what it refers to:)

Yesterday, my sister Stacy and her very entertaining daughter Zhaina came over. Just adding one more kid to my five was a like a circus here yesterday! Zhaina and Preston do love playing with eachother, but they also love to fight over anything they can think of. Preston likes to run her over with his tonka truck and Zhaina likes to chase Preston around threating him with her love:) What I find amusing is Stacy saying every 15 mins to Zhaina, "In 2 more minutes you'r taking a nap!". This goes on for about an hour. Then when Zhaina whines about something Stacy will say, "OK, nap time!". Zhanina then freaks out and Stacy says, "OK, 1 more minute and then nap time!!!". The one minute turns into another 45 mins of Zhaina and Preston pushing eachother of the stool on which they were dancing on. It really is funny watching their little antics.

So of course Preston did not want to cooperate during picture time and the other kids were still in school so here are Jonathan and Zhaina!

A new camera!

My 4 year old broke my camera that my sister gave to me, so I had to get a new one. I try to hide things from him, but he is very persistent in his quest of breaking at least one thing a day. This day he broke my camera and a wall sconce. There might have been one other thing, which I can not remember , due the fact I was so mad about the camera. I really did not have these problems with my daughters..........ok, maybe Carmen, but not nearly as bad. Everyday is so busy with him, I can't wait for the weekends when Matt is home so he can keep in busy with boy things. I wonder what he will break today?

Anyways here is an Owl that will be added to my shop today!

Also I have been working on this quilt for my daughter's room's. It will hang between there room's as a divider. It has almost been a year of working on it. I have some more details to put into it, but I thought I would give you a little peek at it.

Li'l spring hoots!

I have been working on some Spring colored Owls. I think I am going to call them the Easter Owls. They are the perfect size for an easter basket:) Here is Ava holding a few of them.

Still sick:(

My little Jonathan is still sick. Yesterday my husband brought him to the clinic to see if anything is really wrong. They sent him to the ER. They hooked him up to an IV for 4 hours. They sent him home and I was annoyed because nothing changed. I wanted an answer. He slept through the night and today now he is the same except he has not vomited today. This is the 6th day of this. He is just pathetic looking. He does lots of laying around and sleeping. Right now he is eating a few goldfish. Hopefully it will stay down. Poor guy:(

With all his sleeping I was able to put some Owls up in my shop today! Here they are!

One of my favorite things!

I LOVE when the girls come home from school and their cheeks are all rosey from the cold. Today when Carmen came home I was struck by how rosey her cheeks were and well she just is so dang cute:)

I am working on these new sized Owls. They are turning out so so cute.
P.S. Little Jonathan is still really sick. I feel so bad for him. Hopefully tomorrow he feels better.

We are making the rounds:(

We have the stomach flu at our house. It started with my oldest on Wednesday night and she missed 2 days of school and now today she came home early because her stomach hurts. Frankly, I think it is because she has a back-pack full of homework. It gives me a stomach ache just looking at it.

Last night my 1 1/2 year old got it. It is so sad:( Today he is just miserable. So, it is a day of washing sheets and blankets and waiting for the next one to be sick. YUCK!

Anyways here are 2 new Owls added to my shop.
