passing it around

The flu that is:( I woke up with a sore throat today. YUCK!! This is the 3rd time since the new year that I have been sick. It seems like we just keep passing it back and forth. I want spring to be here so bad. Can't wait to open the windows and let the fresh air in!!!

Here are the monsters I made for a custom order.

I made 10 and a monster garland to go with it.

I made this owl to put in the shop today! LOVE this fabric.

Friday is always mu busiest day and yet I am sitting here on the computer wasting time. I have orders to package up and mail out, grocery shopping, supper making and family movie night. The kids look so forward to movie night. They know that they get pizza and a movie every Friday. They all get their jammies on and bring their blankets to the living room. Each week one of the kids gets to pick where they want to lay first. It becomes this huge deal. What would my life be like with all this craziness.

BRIGHT colors

I thought I would share some little hoots I have been working on. I usually don not like colors like these.
When I saw this collection of fabrics I just had to have it. There are a few more with the collection. I am making bigger owls with those. Super cute. Notice the pile on the right..........my to do pile:)
This is also my "to do" pile.
The bright owls are all finished and some are up in the shop already! Here is the little SUNSHINE family!
Anyone who knows me knows which one is my favorite.

Isn't she cute:) I am making a big one with this fabric!

Have a great Wednesday all my blogger friends!

Love her, Love her shop!

My cousin Barb is the one who got me stared on Etsy! She was doing jewelry and I was doing scrapbooks and other paper items. She asked me do a craft show with her and it was the best thing I ever did! We had the best weekend together! LOTS of laughing and reminiscing. She is one of my favorite people to be around. Every time I am with her I know I will be doing lots of laughing:) Anyways......................she has opened a new shop.

Boys, Lincoln Logs and Dinosaurs!

Boys are sooooo different then girls. Mine are anyways. I could always count on the girls to sit at the table and color for an hour or 2. I might get 3 mins of coloring out of Preston. He hops from one thing to the next. It can be really hard to get anything done during the day when he wants to be doing something new every 5 mins. Yesterday I took the boys and bought them some Lincoln Logs and Dinosaurs hoping to keep them busy for longer then 5 mins.
They did play longer then 5 mins but I also had to join in the playing which I do not really do.
They even broke them out again before bed:)
Last night I made these 2 owls to stick in the shop.
Marshmallow the Owl
Owl bookend
I was hoping to get some other owls made during Jonathans nap today while Preston played with his new Lincoln Logs......................WRONG! Preston needed me to build him a house. How could I say no to his sweet little face. So on the floor I went building this.
And of course it would not be fun if there wasn't an attack of some sort.

He wanted the "Lincoln Log" cover in the picture. He has told me the letters over and over again. Very proud.
We will see how many days before I have to brainstorm for something else that will keep his attention longer then 5 mins. Any suggestions?

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day this year we are having a nice day at home. Although I never said it was quiet:/

A few days ago I was feeling not so good so the Mr. brought these home for me:)It made me feel a little better:)

I have been making bookends here and there while working on my custom orders. Some of them are already in shop. They will be sold separately. I have a few more to finish up.

I probably don't have to tell you that the pink and white couple are my favorite:)

Have a love filled day!:)

A few more to go.

Custom orders that is. I finished the quilt.
I should of took a picture of the whole quilt. I am really bad at that though. It is such an akward thing to take a picture of. I made 2 owl garlands.
This is them together. (They go together:)) The customer that ordered them also wanted these.
They are actually almost done!! Matt was busy stuffing these last night. What a guy:)
Next will monsters! Something a little different then owls:>)

custom orders

I have been busy with custom orders the last couple of weeks. I still have quite a few more on my list. I am doing a quilt right now with appliqued owls. I will share when it is finished. For now I will share these orders that are now finished:)
This is the reverse of "fancy the owl". A customer received Fancy for Christmas and wanted another one similar. So here she is:)
Owls in the making.
Owls stuffed. They still need some added touches. Although this picture is from last week. They are now done and mailed out. The lady that ordered these has ordered many owls from. She has 5 children and wanted an owl to represent each person of her family. These are only 3 of them. It was a fun project to work on!
Today I will be finishing a quilt and 2 banners. This customer also ordered 3 owls to represent her new family. Dad, mom and soon to be baby. I will have pictures to share when finished!
I better get busy!
