Pumpkin carving slime time

Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays. Living in Northern Minnesota it becomes silly getting all the kids ready with their costumes only to put on jackets, hats and mittens. Getting all the kids ready becomes stressful and one of the kids is always melting and on the verge of tears while waiting for everyone to get their outside gear on. Carving the pumpkin however is a little less stressful, maybe because I am not the one doing it.
He doesn't mind:)
It was actually not that bad. Everyone managed to have their turn putting there hands in the slime mess.
Even little Jonathan tried for a minute. With one little pumpkin pretty soon it looked like this on the table.
They managed to keep most of the mess on the table. Once they did their little job. The Dad stepped in to do his part.
The final outcome.........

Jonathan afraid:) Priceless!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

The SUN!!!!

I have been waiting for days for the sun to come out!! I usually hate mornings, today was the first day in a very long time I woke up and felt awake. I think it was the fact that it was going to be sunny today. I have been watching the news like a hawk. This is the only nice day we get for awhile.

I was preparing to take pictures of the items I have been working on.

I check my camera and I find videos that this girl took of herself.
My orange light for my dead battery was on!! She always manages to waste my battery when I need it the most. I did manage to take a few pictures before it died.
I think she needs a camera of her own:/

Fall photo shoot

I finally loaded the pictures in the computer from our fall photo shoot. My sister Stacy and her ever entertaining daughter, Zhaina came along for the afternoon.

This photo of Zhaina is priceless:)
I hope the pictures I took on film have at least half of the kids looking at the camera. It was so hard getting them all in one shot. I will share my favorite single shots from my digital camera.
Baby Jonathan, is not so baby anymore:)
I took this picture as fast I could, because he never stays in one place longer then 5 seconds. Little stinker.I took quite a few of Ava in this position. It just was perfect. I can't wait to see the ones on film.Carmen. She has her special lipstick on for the occasion:)
Corrina took her own pictures of herself, something she does a lot.
I don't know what it is about this photo, but it reminds of her when she was like 4.
Another self portrait. She definitely does not look 4 in this picture.

Here are some new minis in the shop.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Christmas owls

Ok, they may not all be Christmas owls.I have been making so many mini owls lately I needed to stock the store with some big ones as well.

SPRINKLES the OWL

I still can't help but make little ones.
I had a little helper today.

He stuffed it for as long as he had patience for. Then he asked where the nails are :) He meant pins, so he could pin the opening together. He pinned it and said, "OK, where is my dollar now!". I couldn't resist giving him one, because he must have had it in his head the whole time. So we went to the post office to mail some packages and then to the gas station so he could get his favorite thing......................tic tacs:) He was so proud to pay with his own money. Love him:)

All day with these little boys is sometimes so sweet!

My favorite place in the house!

I finally took some pictures of the new studio! It used to be Ava and Carmen's bedroom...........pink walls and butterflies:) I like pink so it is fine for now until I have the energy to paint. Enter the Studio..............
I love being upstairs because there is so much light! I still use the big work lights for more lighting though! The big armoir is one of favorite things. It used to be Corrina's, but now that she has a different bedroom, she has the biggest closet in the house.
This is where I keep most of my owls and some of my fat quarters and scraps. The bottom drawers hold all my shipping supplies.
EYE CANDY
These cubes hold some of my scrap booking supplies! I LOVE them. They hold a lot of stuff. The carousal holds some of frequently used stamps and inks. The bottom has paint. The little stand also has some of the kids craft supplies to keep them busy while I am creating.
Love all the little jars of buttons and flowers. They make me happy.
EYE CANDY
This is where I do all my paper crafting! I used to have a big roll top desk to hold all my little embellishments, I had to find somewhere else to put them now that the computer is now in it.
The skinny shelves hold some of my favorite magazines and books, both scrap booking and sewing! The bigger one has doors and that is where I hide everything.........embellishments, magazines, scrapbook pages in progress, projects that I want to do, pictures, pictures pictures, the kids school papers that I have kept for them and so much more!
One of my favorite things is the clock that I made with a picture of the kids on it:)
My sewing table! What a mess!!! But, I love it:)

EYE CANDY Amy Butler fabrics, more buttons and thread:)

Another favorite! It is from Pottery Barn and it is soooo cute!
More fabric:)
This shelf is above the entry of the studio. It was in the room when the girls were in here, so that is why it has a flag banner, I have grown to like it. The jars hold stamp, trim, flowers and embellishments.
So that is my space and I LOVE it!!!! Some day I hope to have some more pieces from Pottery Barn that I love, but for now this is quite nice and it makes me smile:)
