KIDS

My Aunt Yvonne took some really great pictures from a little party my mother had a few weeks ago. Here are some of favs of my kids!

WE DON'T NEED NO EDUCATION

Yvonne blew this picture up to a big huge size, put it in a frame and gave to me! I LOVE it! We will be displaying it upstairs in the hallway.

PRESTON

He ate so many S'mores. He never is allowed to srink pop, but today I said he could. I think he had more then 1. He had the best time!

CORRINA
She is very quite and takes everything when we are around a lot of people, a lot like me when I was her age. This is a really great picture of her though!
Just thought I would share!

Owls, Owls and more Owls

I have so many Owls to put in the shop. It is good I will have something to put in the shop for awhile though. I think there are about 23 little ones. I also whipped out 6 big Owls and about 7 fabric banners. The truck blanket also needs to be put in the shop. In the shop today is .....

If you remember I had made one for my niece, Zhaina. She was my favorite doll I had made, so I decided to make one for the shop. Her tutu is made a little different. I just call her "I LOVE TO DANCE RAG DOLL".

I put this mini owl in the shop too.

Today I will be trying to take some pictures of the products. And I have to work on the custom owls.

Have a great weekend!!!

Fuzzy Wuzzy

My kids LOVE these owls with the fuzzy fabric.

Carmen birthday is on Tuesday and guess what she is getting? As soon as we have some sun I will take a picture of her fuzzy little friend! It is a bigger version of this one....

And pink! These little guys are in the shop:)

I also added these 2 this morning.

Her name is Ellie! Isn't she cute:)

I get to do one of my favorite things today.............SHOPPING! As I said earlier it is Carmen's birthday on Tuesday, so I will be shopping for her. She loves to bead. I also do a little of that, but haven't in awhile. I LOVE going to the bead store. Must be all the colors and choices the same as fabric stores and scrapbooking. I just cannot get enough!

Have a happy day!!

LIVE AND LEARN

I was supposed to be doing a 4 day craft show. I learned a few things. When we showed up there were only a couple vendors. I thought maybe more would show up later. Wrong!!! There were 7 vendors when I was told there would be 25. Later I was told that the rest of them would only be doing Saturdays show. How many more? She said a few more. The second thing I learned is the wind is not my friend. My older daughters and I cranked up the tent only to take it down a couple hours later. My products were flying off the tables! It was awful. While we had the tent up, the girls would hold on for dear life to the poles of tent or run from underneath it scared they would blow away with the tent. We had weights on the tent and that helped a little but not much! Thankfully my mom came and said that I should maybe pack up. (I needed someone to tell me it was ok) So I did, only to be told by the supervisor of the event that I would be missing out on a car show opportunity that would be happening later. Thus, my 3rd lesson learned.......just because there will be an "event" does mean that this is business for you. I did not stay for the car show. She was annoyed with me. Why? She has $50 , I will not be getting back. I felt disappointed when I got home and bad for all the time I put in getting ready for the show. Next time I will only do the shows I know that are good ones and make sure there are more then a few vendors. I came away with some lessons and a ton of product for the shop.
This is 1 little owl in the sea of about 25 mini owls. Most of them are about 2 inches. They are a big hit around here!

I have many more products to share with you through out the week! Tonight I will be working on 4 custom owls:)

Have a great night!

Crazy busy

Thank God for Corrina, Carmen and Matt. They have been such great helpers while I get ready for the craft show. Yesterday the girls took the kids to the park for me. It was only a half hour, but I spent it well.

I love to see the end product.

I can't decide if I like the green in the back or the white. What do you think? The little tutu turned out so cute. And it is removable:) I think I am just going to save them for the craft show.

Yesterday and the day before that, I was busy making some quilts.

I had to make another one of the truck blankets because everyone liked it so much! The heart one was a lot of work, but it turned out so cute! I may put one up in the shop:)

Today on my to d0 list is making owls, mini owls. They are so tiny. I think they measure a couple of inches. I wanted something little and inexpensive for the craft show. I better get back to the sewing!

Sewing, sewing and more sewing!

That is what is on the agenda for the next 9 days. Why 9 days? The craft show starts in 9 days and made all these goals for myself. I really want to make a banner with my shop name on it. I have a few cute dolls to make with little tutus. I also have a rather large custom order that needs to be done. I have a couple of weeks to get that mailed out, so not to stressed yet. Here is a custom order that has landed at the new owners home so I may now share it with you.

In my Etsy shop, people seem to really like my avatar picture and have been asked a few times to make it. I don't really use patterns so I tried to duplicate it the best I could. Notice the cute fabric on the smaller owls belly. It is actually sheets from Pottery Barn. I LOVE the sheets and managed to get my hands on a little bit of it. The lady that purchased the owls was doing her daughters room with some of this collection. The cute green polka dot fabric on the big owls belly is from Amy Butler and it is discontinued. I am so disappointed, but I looked and looked on Etsy and found some and bought as much as I could afford. Anyways, I am off to so some sewing:)

Have a happy day!

A couple of quilts

I have been staying up way to late working on some quilts. I am trying to get ready for a craft show I am going to be in on July 15th - 19th. I do have quite a bit of owls but would like some more baby quilts. I don't get much done around here during the day, so my nights are late. I also have been getting ready for my oldest daughters birthday. She is going to be 12. I can't believe it! Her birthday is tomorow, so I have another late night ahead of me. Here are the quilts.

The rest of the pictures of these 2 quilts are in my shop. I think they could be used for a boy or a girl. What do you think?

Have a happy day everyone!
